Vidrift joins the anime fallback options, with quicker manual switching and clearer playback instructions.

Anime

• The fallback order is Cinextream, VidNest, Vidrift, then YouTube. Cinextream remains the first choice when Play is pressed.
• The next-player button is available immediately. Switching and reloading retain the loaded episode, even if a different episode has been selected but not played.
• Playback is requested when opening the next provider. Browsers or providers may still require Play inside the video; Vidrift may start muted and has its own audio and subtitle controls.
• Vidrift uses explicit episode mappings to TMDB seasons or movies. Episodes without an unambiguous match go straight to the YouTube options instead of guessing a season.
• Reported failures advance to the next option. Errors shown only inside a provider need the next-player button; a paused or slow player is not closed just because time has passed.
• Validated Vidrift playback reports can update watched history. Opening the player alone does not count as watching, and reports from another title, episode or old player are ignored.

YouTube

• When video information is temporarily unavailable, the detail page still offers Try watching, Retry video information and Open on YouTube. A confirmed missing video is labelled separately.
• The watch page offers Open on YouTube when its internal player cannot play a video.

Anime

• If no YouTube episode list can be supplied, a direct YouTube search remains available. Search results may include clips and trailers.
• VidNest startup instructions explain how to close an errored player using Try YouTube instead. Errors displayed only inside a provider still require this manual action.

Scores

• Soccer results put live matches first, followed by the nearest upcoming fixtures and then completed matches from newest to oldest.

Changelog

• Each release has category shortcuts so you can jump directly to the changes you want to read.

Related changes are grouped by area; this v6.0 archive is a historical summary, not one dated deployment. Earlier player and design choices may have been superseded by newer releases.

Anime

• Cinextream is the first player, with VidNest as a fallback and a separate YouTube option.
• When Cinextream reports that all servers failed, a short grace period precedes the switch to VidNest for the same episode and language.
• Episode selection includes Sub/Dub choices, episode details, shareable links and saved last-opened preferences. A separate label identifies the loaded episode and provider.
• Search refresh keeps its filters, temporary catalogue failures can be retried, and watch history accepts validated playback reports without marking an opened player as watched.
• Schedules, seasons, personal lists and related-title links make it easier to follow a series.
• The loaded-player label stays tied to the episode actually opened, even when a different episode or language is selected before pressing Play. Reload and fallback retain that loaded selection.
• Cinextream requests playback after Play or Reload. Browsers may still require a tap inside the video; simply opening an anime page does not start the player.
• Closing or reloading the player, choosing YouTube, or changing episodes cancels pending fallback switches. Messages from an old player cannot change the active one.

• Related-title links group continuations, specials, other anime and related Manga using verified relationships where available.
• YouTube anime resume and Start over controls use saved points for the matching episode video. Watched markers require the end of playback or at least 90% watched, rather than merely opening or starting the player.
• Per-episode resume points were added for external-player episodes and language/source choices. A later fix prevents a shorter anime from deleting higher-numbered episode bookmarks belonging to another title.
• Episode metadata requests were split to respect the provider’s batch limit; a failed partial batch is not saved as a complete result.

Anime discovery and calendar

• Episode matching checks explicitly named seasons to reduce results from the wrong season, while retaining playlists that cover a complete series.
• YouTube playlist candidates are checked for availability before discovery stops. If none can be used, a limited cached fallback search can look for alternatives.
• Previous and Next follow distinct episode numbers, avoiding a jump from a finale to an alternate upload of episode 1.
• Opening a short episode preview no longer leaves the full episode list truncated in the cache.
• Upcoming schedules share a reusable cache and can recover from recent successful schedules or cached next-airing records during provider outages.
• Calendar results remove airings that have already passed and handle broadcasts due within the next minute correctly.
• Season browsing can fall back to Kitsu when AniList and Jikan fail, retaining the selected season, year and page. Catalogue coverage may vary by source.
• Catalogue pagination was corrected to use consecutive result windows. Popular ordering uses popularity rank, and category browsing can include completed titles unless Airing is explicitly selected.
• Category lookup follows provider pagination, and navigation preserves search, sort, format, status and year filters. Final-page links and page limits avoid skipped items or loops.
• Airing pagination detects repeated first-page responses and recovers offsets where possible; a provider stuck on one page is reported as unavailable instead of showing duplicates as new results.
• Official YouTube playlist scanning was made fairer across candidate playlists, with duplicate videos removed and failed playlists unable to block the rest.
• Official playlist catalogues refresh in bounded batches as visitors use the site. Verified publisher titles and aliases improve episode matching, including season/part/cour labels, Roman numerals and numbered uploads.
• YouTube episode filtering respects country restrictions, embedding permissions and usable public videos. An explicitly empty allowed-country list was corrected to mean the video is unavailable everywhere.

Manga

• Saved lists and reading history keep track of titles, chapters and reading positions on this device.
• Chapter update checks and language-aware reading preferences help readers return to their series.
• Catalogue caching and recovery handling improve the experience when a source is temporarily slow or unavailable.
• My Manga adds Reading, Plan to Read, Completed, On Hold and Dropped statuses, with status filters, new-chapter filters and paginated saved lists.
• Existing reading positions migrate into the library. Removing a saved title and removing reading progress are separate actions.
• Language selection was added to browsing, title pages and the reader. Resume positions and read markers are kept separately by language; Previous and Next follow the chapter’s actual translation language.
• The reader supports Data saver or Original images alongside fit-width/original-size and long-strip/single-page modes. Quality changes retain the current page.
• Image loading was bounded to the current page and a small number ahead, with fewer speculative loads on slow or data-saving connections. Failed images can retry the local proxy or alternate quality.
• Preloaded or failed images do not mark a chapter read. Completing a chapter does not automatically mark the entire series Completed.

YouTube and downloads

• Saved video features include favorites, Watch Later, history, playlists and a play queue, with resume support where available.
• Video and channel discovery, playlist refresh and episode matching received reliability improvements.
• Wallpapers and ringtones have dedicated browsing and download pages.
• Related videos use cleaner title matching and can fall back to public uploads from the same channel when search finds no usable cards.
• Related-video results exclude the current video and private playlist entries, keep pagination on the chosen source, and show a message when no results are available.
• Cached searches and channel or playlist lookups remain usable without spending another search request. Limits on uncached searches help preserve the shared daily allowance.
• Recent searches handle simultaneous updates more reliably while retaining the latest ten distinct terms.
• Continue Watching saves positions during actual playback and offers Resume or Start over for the same video. Opening a detail or watch page alone no longer creates playback history.
• Watch Later controls were added throughout video results, detail/player pages, channels and saved lists.
• Named playlists support adding videos, renaming, reordering, removing entries and playback as a queue. Play Next and Add to queue give separate ordering controls.
• Queue continuation is optional. Playback failures do not mark an item complete or silently skip an unavailable video; the viewer retains explicit skip and playback controls.
• Legacy favourites and history are retained. Browser storage failures and list limits are explained, and saved-list changes synchronize between tabs where supported.
• A configured backup YouTube API credential can be tried once for recognized quota, rate-limit or invalid-key failures. Failed credentials/endpoints enter the appropriate cooldown and eligible cached results remain available; this does not increase the provider’s project quota.

Services and saved data

• Browser tools cover QR codes, image editing, batch images, PDFs and calculators.
• Backup & Offline Tools can export and restore selected saved lists and preferences, with an undo option after restore.
• Selected local tools can be prepared for offline use after an online visit; their offline stylesheet handling was improved.
• Saved tools now use a verified cached stylesheet when a network stylesheet request fails, so their styling can survive both connection failures and rejected requests.
• Offline preparation covers six local tools: calculators, QR codes, images, batch images, PDFs and backup. Online catalogues and external video players still need a connection.
• The Services directory gained instant filtering, category tabs and browser-saved favourite tools.
• QR generation supports links, text, Wi-Fi networks and contacts, with downloadable PNGs. QR image scanning was later added, with detected links requiring a deliberate opening action.
• Image Tools adds resizing, preset/custom crops, rotation, quality adjustment, format conversion, previews and file-size comparisons. Processing stays in the browser.
• Calculators and converters cover length, weight, temperature, data sizes, percentages, discounts and date differences, with validation for invalid numbers and dates.

• The Backup service entry and its presentation were tidied to match the Services directory.

Weather and currency

• Weather forecasts, city lookups and exchange rates reuse validated cached results to reduce repeat requests and improve reliability.
• Recent cached data can remain available during a temporary provider outage, keeping its original date or timestamp. Historical exchange rates are cached for longer.
• Currency dates now reject impossible calendar dates, and preference handling tolerates browsers that block local storage.
• Weather gained saved cities with units and forecast preferences, upcoming hourly conditions and an estimated next-rain indication based on available forecasts.
• Open weather pages check for updates automatically, retain labelled previous information during outages and expire past hourly/rain windows. Hidden or offline tabs pause new requests.

Contact and guestbook

• Contact and guestbook submission limits continue to apply after a new browser session, reducing repeated submissions.
• Guestbook saves write a complete replacement before updating the stored records. A failed save preserves existing entries and reports the failure.

Appearance and reliability

• Blue and dark themes received refinements to colors, controls, borders and spacing, alongside adjustable text sizes.
• Content refresh, caching and retry behavior received fixes to preserve useful results during temporary provider failures.
• Input validation, saved-data handling and maintenance checks were strengthened across the site.
• Back links reject unsafe local paths and use a safe fallback when the referring address cannot be trusted.
• Shared file writes detect incomplete saves, and provider cooldowns help avoid repeated failing requests while useful cached results remain available.
• Private provider diagnostics help investigate failures, response times and cache behavior without recording search terms, API keys or visitor IP addresses.
• Video-converter commands pass paths and arguments directly to the converter process for more reliable argument handling.

Project foundations

• The first maintenance work modernized the existing PHP application while keeping its familiar layout, addresses, navigation and saved browser data.
• Legacy PHP syntax, removed iteration helpers, old text-encoding calls and mail-library compatibility were repaired for newer PHP versions. Local includes were anchored to their own folders to avoid working-directory errors.
• YouTube request caching, shared search budgets and official-playlist discovery were established before the later catalogue and player upgrades. Repeated cached results and cached pagination avoid repeating paid search requests.
• Earlier desktop/Web design revisions were followed by a return to one maintained site. The current single-site updates did not restore the separate desktop design.

Discovery and navigation

• The homepage and Everything search bring Anime, Manga, YouTube videos, wallpapers and ringtones together, with category choices and More links to full results.
• Search sections load independently, so one slow provider does not hold up the others. A failed section has its own retry control, and a server-rendered fallback supports browsing without JavaScript.
• Ringtones were added to both discovery search and the compact homepage Trending rows. Their links were later refined to open a listening preview before downloading.
• Homepage wallpaper previews use the same default catalogue and ordering as Downloads. Homepage media rows share its cache and retain previous results during temporary failures.
• Discovery previews and full YouTube results reuse the same search batch. Older cached previews remain usable when the search allowance is exhausted.
• Canonical URLs were cleaned up for Anime list aliases. The sitemap gained validated cached Anime and Manga detail pages, then the local Services tools, without fetching entire external catalogues.

Earlier anime player changes

• Before the current numbered servers, YouTube episodes were the main option and VidLink was added as an alternate player using verified catalogue mappings.
• The early alternate player gained episode paging, Sub/Dub and source choices, remembered selections, shareable episode links, Reload and a direct-player comparison link. Selecting an episode did not itself start playback.
• Automatic section updates were prevented from removing an open player. Progress reports had to come from the active frame and match the selected title and episode.
• VidNest later replaced VidLink as the primary option, using verified AniList mappings. Missing or conflicting mappings used the YouTube fallback rather than guessing an identifier.
• The incompatible iframe setting that caused VidNest’s “Please Disable Sandbox” message was removed. YouTube episode discovery became lazy, loading when the fallback was requested.
• Cinextream subsequently became the first choice, followed later by Vidrift and numbered Server labels. These are historical steps; the newer release entries describe the current order and failure behavior.

Wallpapers and ringtones

• Downloads gained shared catalogue snapshots, duplicate removal and pagination that retains overflow results instead of discarding them between pages.
• Wallpapers gained portrait, landscape and square filters, minimum-resolution and file-size filters, smaller previews, and Small, HD or Original downloads where useful without enlarging small originals.
• Sound browsing gained notification, alarm and ringtone searches, duration and format filters, and available audio previews. Downloads keep their original format; the catalogue does not automatically cut or convert audio.
• Favourite wallpapers/ringtones and Recently Opened lists are stored in the browser, with separate views, removal controls and cross-tab synchronization.
• Ringtones gained detail pages with listening previews and explicit download controls. Detail pages can show a small set of related files without spending YouTube searches.
• Crop for my screen opens a wallpaper in the image editor, offering screen-sized, phone, portrait, square and custom crops while retaining original downloads and source/licence details.
• Catalogue and metadata caches, bounded downloads and automatic retries improve loading during provider problems. Active audio previews and focused controls are protected from background replacement.

Themes and accessibility

• The blue and dark themes went through spacing, sizing, border, header/footer and control refinements while keeping the compact site layout.
• Buttons, form controls and the theme switch were made more consistent. Further visual polish removed the unwanted line beside the likebox area.
• The blue palette was rebalanced after the more muted revision; the dark theme received corresponding colour refinements.
• Text-size controls gained correct button semantics and keyboard Space activation while retaining the existing resize artwork and selected-size indicator.
• Page templates gained a main-content landmark and standards-mode HTML5 document declarations. Resize tracking was repaired to release removed content and handle reinserted elements correctly.

Automatic updates and maintenance

• Visitor-driven background jobs refresh shared content in small bounded batches, reuse good cached records and back off after failures. They do not require a new database or an always-running process.
• Open homepage, catalogue, schedule, score, currency and horoscope pages gained automatic refresh behavior suited to their content. Failed Wikipedia requests can retry when connectivity returns.
• Updates pause in hidden/offline tabs and avoid replacing content while a visitor edits a form, selects text or uses a focused control. Healthy player and reader pages are not repeatedly reloaded.
• Background refresh also maintains official-playlist catalogues without YouTube searches. It resumes when the site receives activity; it cannot run continuously while nobody visits.
• Obsolete files and stale rewrite rules were retired through a bounded cleanup process that verifies exact originals and saves a private backup before deletion. Modified files, active code and stored data are preserved.
• Cleanup validation was corrected for approved custom site edits and excludes private configuration. Diagnostic output identifies incomplete-upload blockers instead of requiring manual deletion.
• Generated media cleanup waits until conversion slots are idle. Changed scripts use content-based URLs so newly uploaded code is requested without a manual cache purge.

Public information pages

• About was updated to explain the current content sections, browser-saved lists, Services and optional offline tools.
• Privacy was expanded to describe browser storage, media and advertising providers, contact/guestbook data, backup/offline caches, private monitoring and temporary generated files.
• Terms was updated for provider-controlled playback, download rights and saved data. The legacy Wapmaster page was corrected to describe its disabled-by-default authenticated endpoint and error behavior.
